It is so hard to see your teen struggle.
Maybe your teen is feeling anxious and worrying all the time. Perhaps your teen is becoming overwhelmed by emotions and having panic attacks. Or maybe your teen is feeling sad and does not seem to like who they are anymore. Your teen’s tough times might even be affecting your family relationships. As a parent, you want your teen to feel better, but you might feel stuck or unsure of what to do.
Therapy can help.
I help teens who struggle with worries, sadness, low self-esteem, and perfectionism. Your teen can build self-confidence, manage their emotions, and feel like themself again. I can help them get there.
WHAT WE'LL WORK ON
Therapy can help your teen:
-
Learn skills for dealing with worries, sadness, and anger.
-
Become more resilient and better at coping with life’s challenges.
-
Improve communication skills so that they can have stronger relationships and better social support.
-
Build self-confidence.
-
Feel happier, calmer, and more content.
How it works
Intake Session:
The first step is an intake session. During this 75-minute session, I will meet with you and your teen to talk about your concerns and goals. The intake session is a chance for you and your teen to get to know me and ask questions. Finding a good 'fit' between the therapist and the client is key to successful therapy. If you and your teen feel that I am the right fit, we will talk about the treatment plan and schedule follow-up therapy sessions.
Therapy Sessions:
Therapy sessions last 50 minutes. I usually see therapy clients weekly or every other week. I help my teen clients feel supported, understood, and comfortable so they can talk openly.
Through therapy, I help teens talk through tough situations and learn new ways to solve problems. My teen clients learn how to cope with difficult emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life's challenges. I help parents better understand what their teen is going through and how they can support their teen at home.
